Wissembourg

Before the wedding we wanted to do some site-seeing with our American friends and family sooooo... we took a quick trip to France.
If you come to visit me a fun place to go visit is Wissemburg, France. It's about 1,5 hours south-west from where I live....a little French town just over the border. It is so cute, old and rustic and no worries....they'll be speaking French.
The trip there was exciting already.....the closer we came to France the older and quainter the houses & towns were....the way a tourist imagines  Europe.
So finally there we were, happy to see that parking was free,....not in Germany.... you have to pay to go to the bathroom.
It was a relaxed but fun day looking at churches and houses built in the 1800s.  In the afternoon we took a little trolly around the town. As you passed different houses and buildings they would tell you when it was built and what the history is. We all enjoyed it!
We ended the day in France with dinner.....Flammkuchen. It's really really good. When I was asked what it is I really could not explain it because saying it's like pizza just isn't right.... It's flammkuchen.
